Introducción:
La evacuación endoscópica del hematoma subdural crónico (HSDC) se inicia en 1990 y gracias al avance de las técnicas anestésicas se han podido realizar diversas intervenciones neuroquirúrgicas con el paciente despierto. Esta técnica podría ser útil en pacientes añosos para disminuir su morbimortalidad.
Objetivo:
El objetivo de este trabajo es describir la técnica quirúrgica paso a paso de la evacuación endoscópica del HSDC en paciente despierto y presentar casos ilustrativos.
Material y métodos:
Para desarrollar la sección “técnica quirúrgica” se analizaron protocolos operatorios, videos de cirugías y fotos de cirugías realizadas en Tucumán por nuestro equipo en 2022. Para la presentación de los casos ilustrativos se realizó un estudio retrospectivo de los pacientes con diagnóstico de HSDC operados en nuestra institución.
Resultados:
Se describe la técnica anestésica y quirúrgica paso a paso con todos los consejos.
Conclusión:
Se presentó la técnica para HSDC tal cual la realiza nuestro equipo regularmente. Se ilustró la misma(AU)
Background:
The endoscopic evacuation of chronic subdural hematomas began in 1990 and thanks to the development of anesthetic techniques, various neurosurgical interventions have been performing with the patient awake; this technique could be useful in elderly patients to reduce their morbidity and mortality.
Objective:
The objective of this paper is to describe step-by-step the surgical technique for endoscopic evacuation of chronic subdural hematomas in an awake patient and to present illustrative cases.
Material and methods:
To develop the "surgical technique" section, the following features were analyzed: operative protocols, videos of surgeries and photos of surgeries performed in Tucumán by our team in 2022. For the presentation of illustrative cases, a retrospective study of patients with diagnosis of chronic subdural hematomas operated in our institution.
Results:
The anesthetic and surgical technique is described step by step with all the tips.
Conclusion:
The technique for CSDH was presented as it is performed by our team daily. The same was illustrated(AU)
