Fitness to practice: the doctor and the law

None of the cases to which reference was made, involved a doctor from the several territories of our Commonwealth Caribbean, and my research has not unearthed any so far. One can draw a number of conclusions from that fact, but whatever conclusion is drawn, the best future for your profession, and what better way to do that than by sensitising members of the likely pitfalls ahead. Surely from the number of cases involving a romance between the doctor and his patient, one can contend that the doctor never contemplated that a bit of love making with his patient, could lead to such catastrophy. Now that you are made aware of areas of unacceptable conduct, it is no good getting into "trouble", and then try to wriggle your way out of it. I am sure you would readily agree, that preventive medicine goes a long way in reducing the need for surgery, and other curative medicine
