Sistemas de medicion de fuerzas oclusales puntuales

Publication year: 1990

The purpose of this investigation is to construct a device to measure occlusal stresses at a fixed point, to include in the design of a fixed restoration the concept of strength produced when occluding. Once this is done numerically the level of error can be decreased. The basic procedure used was the analysis of internal stressed produced on a tooth when occluding, through the study of photoelasticity in two-dimensions and the system of finite elements.

In order to design the Strain Gauge several types of transducers were studied:

a) Strain Gauge B) Pressure of Force Gauges c) Displacement Gauges.
