Presentamos una revisión de la literatura sobre los aportes más importantes de Hipócrates a la Medicina, y a la humanidad. Nació en la isla de Cos, nos legó un vasto conocimiento médico que ha trascendido al presente siglo. We present a revision of Literature about the most important contributions of Hipocrates to the medicine, and the humanity. He was born in the island of Cos, bequeathed to the humanity a vast medical knowledge that has extented to the present century. "The life is brief; the art, length; the occasion, fleeting, the experience, deceptive; the judgment, difficult", they are some of the aphorisms that maintain their present time, in addition to their legacy very known about ethics and doctors oath.
