Las lesiones osteofibrosas de cabeza y cuello comprenden un conjunto de alteraciones difíciles de diferenciar y clasificar; entre ellas tienen en común la sustitución del hueso normal por tejido fibroso. Los signos y sintomas clínicos también son similares, predominando las asimetrías faciales dolorosas y no dolorosas y el desplazamiento de estructuras vecinas, de acuerdo al sitio primario de la lesión. Se presenta un caso de fibroma osificante de seno frontal en una mujer joven, analizando las características clínicas, radiológicas e histiológicas, así como el tratamiento de estos raros tumores.
The osteofibrosas lesions s of head and neck are a group of alterations difícult to difference and to classify; among them they have common the substitution of the normal bone by fibrous weave. The clinical signs and symptoms also are similar, predominating the painful and nonpainful face asymmetries and the displacement of neighboring structures, according to the primary site of the injury. A osificante case of fibroma of frontal sine in a young woman appears, analyzing the clinical, radiological and histiológicas characteristics, as well as the treatment of these rare tumors.
