Calidad de vida, autoestima y felicidad en mujeres durante el climaterio, de estrato socio-económico medio-alto y bajo, en la ciudad de Lima

El objetivo de la presente investigación es identificar la relación entre las variables:

calidad de vida, autoestima y felicidad durante el climaterio. Se tuvo en cuenta la edad, estado civil, nivel de estudios y situación laboral. La muestra está conformada por 221 mujeres de estratos socio-económicos medio-alto, y bajo, en la ciudad Lima. Los resultados obtenidos reflejan que los cambios producidos durante el climaterio no modifican considerablemente el comportamiento de las mujeres evaluadas, si bien los síntomas intervienen en forma diferente y progresiva en cada una de las etapas del climaterio. Presentan un alto nivel de autoestima y un nivel medio en calidad de vida y felicidad. Se encontró una relación significativa entre las tres variables estudiadas.

The objective of this research is to identify the relationship between the following variables:

quality of life, self-esteem and Happiness, considering factors such as age, marital status, level of education and working status. The sample is composed by 221 women of mid-high and low socioeconomic status in the city of Lima, Peru. The results show evidence that these changes do not significantly affect the behavior of the women in this study; however, the symptoms have different effects on each phase of the climateric period. These women show high levels of self-esteem and moderate level of quality of life and happiness. The results also show significant correlation among the three variables in this study.
