La presente investigación sobre vivencias del adulto hospitalizado en emergencia, es cualitativa fenomenológica. Se realizó con el objetivo de describir las impresiones y sentimientos del paciente durante la hospitalización en el servicio de emergencia del HREGB de Nuevo Chimbote. Participaron 10 pacientes adultos de 25 a 60 años de ambos sexos, a quienes se les realizó la pregunta orientadora ¿Cómo fue su experiencia vivida durante la hospitalización en el servicio de emergencia? Mediante una entrevista grabada, se utilizó la técnica de "bola de nieve" o "saturación de los discursos". Los resultados que se obtuvieron fueron 29 categorías y 82 unidades de significado, siendo la mayoría de las categorías vivenciadas de carácter psicoemocional y social, dentro de las cuales las principales son: sentimiento de tristeza, soledad y miedo a morir, "no dejaban ver a mi familia por estar prohibido", falta de comunicación e información de enfermera-paciente, necesidad de cariño y comprensión por parte del personal.
This research work on the experiences of adult hospital is located in the group of qualitative research phenomenological which was conducted with the objective of describing the feelings and impressions of the patient during hospitalization in the emergency service with the participation of adult patients 25 to 60 years for both sexes who went to the emergency service of "HREGB" Nuevo Chimbote. The sample was at number ten, who were teatre with the question guiding How was your experience during hospitalizationin the emergency service? Through an interview that was recorded, we used the technique of "snowball" or "saturation speeches."The results of processing phenomenological: description, reduction has been achieved through the speeches of the collaborators 29 categories and 82 units of meaning, and the cons most categories experienced a psycho-emotional and social within which the main ones: Feeling of sadness, loneliness and fear of death, left no see my family because they are prohibited, lack of communication and information from nurse-patient need for affection and understanding by staff.
