Objetivo:
El objetivo del presente estudio fue determinar la relación entre el estado de conservación de la prótesis y la presencia de lesiones en mucosas de pacientes portadores de prótesis parcial removible Material y método: Se realizó un estudio descriptivo, transversal y prospectivo. En este estudio se evaluaron 50 pacientes adultos (mayores de 60 años) portadores de prótesis parcial removible. Se realizó el examen clínico odontológico y se registraron los hallazgos en una ficha de recolección de datos que contenía un instrumento de evaluación con el cual se verifico la retención, estabilidad de la PPR, la integridad del aparato protésico y así determinar su estado de conservación. Resultados:
Los resultados de la investigación mostraron que el estado de conservación de la prótesis parcial removible fue bueno 34%, regular 36% y malo 30%. El 34% de pacientes presentaba lesiones en mucosas de tipo estomatitis subprótesis. Conclusión:
No es posible establecer una relación directa entre el estado de conservación de la prótesis y la presencia de lesiones ya que la mayoría de los pacientes evaluados no presentaron lesiones, la estomatitis sub prótesis fue única lesión encontrada.
Objective:

It is not possible to establish a direct relationship between the conservation status of the prosthesis and the presence of lesions as most of the evaluated patients did not present any dental lesions, stomatitis sub denture was because the majority of evaluated patients do not present lesions, the subprothesis stomatitis was te only lesion found.
