INTRODUCCION:
La cesárea en adolescentes como culminación quirúrgica del embarazo es una intervención que requiere mayor precaución, cuidado y pericia por ser un grupo etario vulnerable. Los factores característicos de las adolescentes sometidas a cesárea, así como los determinantes de dicha intervención quirúrgica, deben ser conocidos y descritos. OBJETIVO:
Reconocer los factores característicos de las adolescentes sometidas a cesárea. MATERIAL Y METODOS:
Se presenta un estudio descriptivo y cuantitativo. Se incluyeron historias clínicas de adolescentes cesareadas que cumplieron con los criterios de inclusión y exclusión, durante el período 2010-2012. Encontrándose un total de 530 historias clínicas. RESULTADOS:
Durante el año 2010, la tasa de cesáreas en adolescentes representó el 44,6 por ciento, en el 2011 fue de 42,5 por ciento, mientras que en el 2012 fue 38,8 por ciento. El 96,8 por ciento de adolescentes pertenecían al período de Adolescencia Tardía, mientras que el 3,2 por ciento al de Adolescencia Temprana. Con respecto a factores socioculturales; en lo referido al grado de instrucción, el 56,0 por ciento tenía secundaria incompleta, un 30,8 por ciento secundaria completa, el 5,1 por ciento universitario incompleto, el 4,0 por ciento técnico incompleto, el 2,1 por ciento técnico completo, el 1,7 por ciento primaria incompleta y un 0,4 por ciento primaria completa. En cuanto al estado civil, el 62,5 por ciento eran solteras, el 35,3 por ciento conviviente s y el 2,3 por ciento casadas. En lo referido al número de gestaciones, el 82,1 por ciento eran primigestas, el 16,6 por ciento segundigestas y el 1,3 por ciento multigestas. Con respecto las atenciones prenatales, el 11,7 por ciento no presentaba ninguna atención prenatal, el 52,8 por ciento tenía menos de seis atenciones prenatales, mientras que el 35,5 por ciento presentaban seis o más atenciones prenatales. The cesarean adolescents and surgical termination of pregnancy is an intervention that requires greater caution, care and skill to be a vulnerable age group. The characteristic factors of adolescents undergoing cesarean section and the determinants of this surgery must be known and described. OBJECTIVE:
Recognize the characteristic factors of adolescents undergoing cesarean section. MATERIAL AND METHODS:
A quantitative and descriptive study is presented. 2012 - cesarean medical records of adolescents who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria during the period 2010 were included. Finding a total of 530 medical records. RESULTS:
In 2010, the cesarean rate in adolescents accounted for 44.6 per cent, in 2011 was 42.5 per cent, while in 2012 was 38.8 per cent. 96.8 per cent of adolescents were in the period of Late Adolescence, while 3.2 per cent of Early Adolescence. With regard to socio-cultural factors, with regard to level of education, 56.0 per cent had incomplete secondary, complete secondary 30.8 per cent, 5.1 per cent university incomplete, 4.0 per cent Technical incomplete, 2.1 per cent of full technical, 1.7 per cent primary and incomplete primary 0.4 per cent complete. Regarding marital status, 62.5 per cent were single, 35.3 per cent and 2.3 per cent cohabiting married. In regard to the number of pregnancies, 82.1 per cent were primiparous, 16.6 per cent it was their second pregnancy and 1.3 per cent were multigravidas. With respect to prenatal care, 11.7 per cent no prenatal care, 52.8 per cent had less than six prenatal visits, while 35.5 per cent had six or more prenatal visits. Also, the main indications for cesarean were Acute Fetal Distress with 9.6 per cent, with 7.3 per cent Funicular dystocia, 7.0 per cent Mild Preeclampsia and other indications not specified with 8.7 per cent. Finally, regarding the type of cesarean, 71.9 per cent were emergency while 28.1 per cent were elective. CONCLUSIONS:
