El presente estudio titulado tiene como objetivo determinar el nivel de conocimientos y prácticas sobre Estimulación Temprana que tienen las madres de niños de 0 a 12 meses de edad, que acuden al servicio de Crecimiento y Desarrollo del Centro de Salud Villa San Luis en el distrito de San Juan de Miraflores. La estimulación temprana tiene como finalidad, desarrollar al máximo y potencializar las funciones cerebrales del niño de 0 a 12 meses de edad mediante el juego y ejercicios repetitivos, tanto en el plano intelectual, como en el físico, afectivo y social. La madre tiene la tarea de estimular a diario a su niño y ha de ser orientada por el personal de Enfermería para poder hacerlo adecuadamente. Al ser la estimulación realizada por la madre un factor importante para su desarrollo se decide realizar el presente estudio de investigación, el cual es de nivel aplicativo, tipo cuantitativo, con método descriptivo de corte transversal, la población estuvo conformada por 100 madres que asistieron con sus niños de 0 a 12 meses de edad al Programa de Crecimiento y Desarrollo, la muestra se obtuvo mediante el muestreo no probabilístico. La técnica para la recolección de datos fue la entrevista y el instrumento un cuestionario validado con juicio de expertos. Los resultados fueron que del 100 por ciento (100) de madres, el 69 por ciento (69) presentaron conocimiento medio, y 31 por ciento (31) presentaron conocimiento bajo. La mayoría 84 por ciento (84) de madres realizan prácticas adecuadas de estimulación temprana. Asimismo con respecto a las practicas según el área de desarrollo se tiene que en el área motora la gran mayoría 80 por ciento (80) de madres, coloca al bebé boca abajo para que levante la cabeza y fortalezca la musculatura de los niños; con respecto al área coordinación se tiene que la gran mayoría 80 por ciento (80) de las madres juega con sus niños a arrugar papel y aplaudir, con respecto a el área lenguaje se tiene que la mayoría imita los sonidos...
