Intestinal parasite infections and undernutrition are major health problems in lowand middle-income countries (LMIC). According to World Health Organization (WHO), more than 1.5 billion people, or 24% of the world’s population, are infected with soiltransmitted helminths, the largest group of intestinal parasite infections, contributing 5.2 million disability-adjusted life-years worldwide in 2010 [1,2].
